Prinsco to Open New Production Facility in South Dakota

Dec. 22, 2009 – Prinsco announced today it will open a new production facility in the Greater Sioux Falls area of South Dakota. The expansion will provide greater capacity and improved service for customers in the upper Midwest.

“With this expansion, no other company will be able to match Prinsco’s level of service in the upper Midwest,” said Kent Rodelius, Agricultural Sales Manager at Prinsco, Inc. “This move is another example of our continued commitment to the agricultural market.”

While the expansion will provide obvious benefits for agricultural customers near the I-90 and I-29 corridors (South Dakota, Nebraska, northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota), the new South Dakota location will also benefit the construction and highway markets. The plant will provide increased capacity in the Midwest, and will also help to improve logistics, especially during busy spring and fall seasons.

Prinsco has built and maintained a strong presence in the Midwest, opening its first manufacturing facility in Prinsburg, Minnesota in 1975. With acquisitions in 2000 and 2004, Prinsco added production facilities in Illinois, Iowa and Missouri. The company then expanded into the western U.S., opening a plant in Fresno, California in 2008. The South Dakota plant is expected to become operational in the summer of 2010.

“The South Dakota plant is yet another example of our commitment to our customers and this industry,” said James Duininck, Vice President of Sales at Prinsco.”  “ We look forward to servicing our customers from this location.”
