Throughout the manufacturing process, we place an intense focus on quality control. All resin is tested for specification and blended for maximum strength before it is used. The pipe is continually tested during manufacture and our in-house testing laboratory.
Random pieces of pipe are also sent to an independent testing facility on an annual basis. There they are tested to assure compliance to applicable ASTM and AASHTO standards. Because of our commitment to quality, Prinsco test results consistently exceed what is required and all of our pipe is in compliance.
TEST STANDARDS:
Annual testing is done by Patzig Testing Laboratories, an independent testing facility located in Des Moines, Iowa, in accordance with the following industry specifications.
- ASTM F 405
- AASHTO M 252
- ASTM F 667
- AASHTO M 294
- Soil Conservation Service National Engineering Standard and Specification for Subsurface Drain, Code 606
WORKMANSHIP:
Visual inspection of the samples indicate that the material is homogeneous, uniform and essentially free of defects.
MARKINGS:
All of the samples Patzig received and inspected were marked with the Gold Identification Stripe, applicable sizing information, and ASTM and AASHTO specification numbers.
PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS TESTS:
Pipe was tested for 1) Brittleness, 2) Environmental Stress Cracking, 3) Pipe Flattening, 4) High and Low Temperature Strength.
JOINT TESTS:
Pipe joints were tested for 1) Integrity, 2) Strength, and 3) Alignment.
RESULTS:
Based on the test results, Patzig Testing Laboratories stated that all Prinsco pipe was in compliance with the applicable ASTM and AASHTO requirements, as well as the additional provisions of Soil Conservation Service National Engineering Standard and Specification for Subsurface Drain, Code 606.
