Abstract

Willow Landing is a 23.51 acre planned residential subdivision in Hollister, San Benito County, California. Construction for the stormwater detention system began in July of 2023 and was completed in two weeks.

The detention system handles stormwater for the entire development. Because of the need for a large-diameter system that could be buried deeper than normal due to county requirements, 2,600 feet of Goldflo® 60” dual-wall perforated pipe along with fittings was used in place of the more common chamber system.

Goldflo® pipe is designed to meet the most stringent requirements of AASHTO M294 or ASTM F2306, along with ASTM D3212 for watertight joints. That level of material and structural performance makes it a good solution for deeper-than-normal applications.

The Willow Landing project was a success with special thanks to the team of Garney Construction, Pace Supply out of San Jose, Max Yates, and Prinsco. The Prinsco/Pace team’s superior customer service and attention to detail made it easy for the contractor to pick his supplier for this project.
