Willmar, Minnesota – January 9, 2012: Prinsco announces today that it has dramatically raised the bar for performance testing by partnering with InnoTEK Services, LLC for advanced product testing and analysis services. InnoTEK Services, a company based out of Willmar, Minnesota, offers customized, high performance testing services to manufacturers in the water management industry.

InnoTEK Services will be working with Prinsco to perform pressure testing of their pipe, fittings, and related joining systems.  To this point, Prinsco has used in-house pipe joint testing equipment which was limited to 10.8 psi pressure standards.  While 10.8 psi joint testing has historically been sufficient for performance verification, it does not satisfy Prinsco’s new product development goals or the market trends toward higher performance levels.

Prinsco’s initiative was the driving force behind the InnoTEK Services partnership.  “We are developing new products and refining our existing products in order to cater to the high performance needs of the construction and highway markets,” says Jamie Duininck, Vice President of Sales at Prinsco.

Last summer, InnoTEK Services began planning and constructing a state-of-the-art pressure-testing machine made to Prinsco’s specifications.  It was completed in December of 2011. The testing unit was constructed not only to meet current stormwater industry requirements but also more stringent requirements for applications requiring much greater performance. The equipment has the capability to test up to 72” diameter pipe and is designed to test pipe at pressures several times the current 10.8 psi requirement.

“This equipment is truly cutting edge and provides us the ability to scrutinize our pipe to levels yet unseen in the industry,” says Carl Douglass, Director of Engineering at Prinsco. “This allows us to continue our product development efforts and raise the bar for product performance, providing our customers with unparalleled solutions.”
